It's not the first time theres been inconsistencies in Green's stories.

re: the Green wight issue - I have to say he looked very underweight in both the Beyer rematch and the Mundine fight.

He was pale and looked severely underweight for Beyer 2 - from what I remember he actually weighed in well under 168 for that fight (BOXREC shows he weighed in at 166lbs).

And I just rememebr how huge Green's head looked comapred to his body at the weigh in for the Mundine fight - when he took off that flak jacket he looked emaciated.

He looks a lot healthier at 176 IMO.

He weighed in for the Mundine fight @ 3% body weight.

He has a large torso mate. Bigger than Kessler and Siaca, plus he is older.

How old are you? whats your walk around weight? have you ever cut weight or tried to slim down past your comfort weight? I have and its fuckin hard!!
Yeah Green did have only 3% body fat.
With a such a little amount of body fat, your body obviously does not function as well as it should, thus leading to massive dehydration & exhaustion.

I remeber thinking exactly the same thing. Looks much healthier at LHW imo.

I havent seen much of Griffin but from the limited footage I have seen I can say that he appears average.

He is average at the way he fights and Green is above average at the way he fights. But I reckon the way Griffin approaches it will give Green more trouble than Green's style will give Griffin, at the start anyway.

Ill stress I havent seen to much of him, so Im going out on a limb here but I reckon it will take some time for Green to catch him.

On paper at this stage anyway it looks a sterner test then Siaca.
For a couple of reasons
*Siaca was a big supermiddle but he was fit when he made that weight. When he fought at 175 he was mostly unfit and underdone. Otis is a career ltheavy.
*Siaca is past it, way past it. Griffo is 29 and has only been pro for 3 years.

Of course against a guy like Green a weak chin gets found out pretty fast and from what Ive seen he is no Mundine, nor is he as schooled as Beyer. And thats the main unknown it this fight.
I mean you look at Nieves' record and you logically assume that he does not have a world class chin, Team Mundine certainly assumed that.
But when it came down to it, he had a pretty solid one.
Griffin might be a Jake Lamotta or he might be a Wlad, not sure on that one. But I reckon someone knows, as Griffin certainly has had a little exposure.

Should be a good fight to gauge where Greeny is at, damn shame about the Kickett-Elomar fight though, hopefully they find a decent replacement. If anything someone with a good beard to showcase Kickett for the full 10.

Notice Oztriker has shown no interest in this thread because it has no mention of a certain individual who consumes all of Oz's time.
Anyway, Green will beat up all c grade fighters, its the fighters with skill that he goes to puddy over.

Green definatley looks better at LH physically. But his weight was only mentioned as an excuss after Mundine beat shit out of him. We really heard nothing of it till then. Actually most of the nut cases on here now using it as an excuss were picking a KO victory to Green. Good to have a fall back when Mundine is involved.
Green fought all his career at SM, but when he failed miserably in his career defining fight we suddenly heard, actually thats not his weight division. Weird.
Green is not doing anything at LH he didnt already do at SM, beating c graders. Actually one thing I agree with Oztriker on is that Green really isnt an impressive victory for Mundine. It was a no brainer, except for the Green huggers.

Okay Eeels you uninformed dickhead. It really isn't that hard to check the facts, but I suppose for someone of your intelligence it is!!
- Greens first 7 fights, only 5 at super middle
- from then all bar one of his fights were at light heavy if a title wasn't on the line
- ie. all the rest of super middle fights were for titles bar one
- weight was never used as an excuse against Mundine
- read the press after Beyer II, again it wasn't an excuse but was mentioned as a concern

Go back to smoking Choc!

are there any other Mundine bashers want to support shiner here on this point. He has gone out pretty hard and stands to look some idiot here. I stand to be corrected because I havent followed Greens career at all as I rate him more a carpenter than boxer...but anyone else want to suggest Green fought predominantly as a LH after his 7th fight, as shiner seems to be saying. You Green hugers going to stay strong on this or leave shiner out to dry.
I'll go check Greens website if it still exists and has been updated since his career defining fight. I'll be back...
