Sorry about my last post lads I thought you meant he busted it in training and wasn't gonna fight. That's the problem with posting in the wee hours!

It really would be intersting the see the 1st three rounds cos they both looked empty almost and JWPs kicked looked heavy and slow must have been a helluva a first three rounds. Not used to seeing JWP soo bushed, he's usually so fit.

Intersting to note that they deidn't seem to have to much facial damage considering they are using the little MMA gloves.

Anyway the "old bloke"'s still got it!

Good luck to him, he'll be an ATG trainer/promoter as well probabaly.

that video is from JWP own channel. so I was surprised it started from the 4th round instead of from the beginning of the fight. I too would like to see the first three rounds.

shows what type of fighter Parr is even with he's clearly fatigued JWP still had the power to get the KO. great work parr!

That is a great pic and the idea of the final countdown on his career, very clever.

The way he's holding uphis arms is very similar to the Wai Kru tat he has on his back.

so... I dont know... this song has been stuck in my head the past week, perhaps it can entertain you like it has me. Ever since I heard it every now and then it will pop up in my head. I though that I should share it if you havent heard the Thai boxing song by Jiraphand Ong-Ard your life is incomplete.

Really this should be the Muaythai Anthem song:

I love this thread!
My life suddenly complete and fixed, the meaning of life, well it all just suddenly became so clear, got it!

I have never ever ever heard that one and that has to be the greatest of them all!!! Thanks Yaca.

Look at the size different at about 1min?

I just went on itunes and bought it. It's on a series called Thai Beat A Go Go, Vol 4. I've bought a few from that seris before including another good Muay Thai one called Yord Muay Thai (Great Muay Thai) by Chutima Duangporn. The Muay Thai bit at the beginning is the bit Mike Piromphon remixes for his Mut Tow Kow Sauk from the Ost of Beautiful Boxer, that was on a highlight Yaca posted a while back.

Here's the bad ass cover, is that Jiraphand Ong-Ard? and look at the chick on the left!!!

Can't see who the boxer is.

A few other good Muay Thai anthems:

Buakaw often comes out to this one by the Thai Legend Ad Carabao who's a big supporter of Muay Thai:

Mut Tao Kao Sauk by Mike Piromporn:

And of coruse Nai Kannom Tom about the greatest ATG of all again by Carabao:

awesome post boran, I wondered about that second song having heard it before from the Samkor HL. Now I got the info thanks for that.

That last song was epic, that is the true candidate for Muaythai anthem. Damn I love this thread. So much win!

I think for Thais both the Carabao songs are MT anthems (Carabao is their biggest Music star ever). Both the stories are true Thai episodes that are crucial to the Thai national make up. If your not familiar with the epic story of Bang Ra Jan you should check it out and u'll understand where that balls out fighting attitude you see so often in the ring comes form.

Camp: Sityodtong Camp, Pattaya, Thailand
Date of Birth: 1971
Height: 175 cms
Weight: 70 kilos
Record 145-37

Yoddecha is a fun fighter to watch his kicks particularly the highkick are beautiful to see, his punches are devastating. Not a lot of footage of this guy really got to make due. know he was a Lumpinee welterweight champion. I believe he had a lot of international matches probably because of his size?

Hl of Yoddecha:

Good interview with Yoddecha :

I dont know if any of you watched the series Human weapon on the history channel, but this next clip is a piece of that show where one of the participants Jason Chambers (who is an MMA fighter) is matched against him. IMO no MMA fighter within 20lbs of Yoddecha would have done much better here.

Here's Yoddecha sparring with Dzhabar Askerov.

Great post, really enjoyed it.

That spinning elbow against the Aussie guy! Only ATGs can pull moves like that! (A move fav of both Yodsanklai and Saenchai).

I remember Yoddecha and think I may have seen him live on a King's B-Day 99,2000 or 2001,2002 ? not sure but some where anyway. Yeah, I agree fun to watch, to me kind of a mix of Saenchai nad Kongtranee, kind of a weird mix I know but I'm sure you get what I mean (or maybe it's just really late here!). Great kicks as you say, but he really sinks in thse leg kicks, ooowi! Sorry Yaca can't add anything more to what you already know and yes lots of international fights due to size and age (the usual thing I rant about ).

He's a classic example of what I was talking about pre 2003 a real lack of a full picture of what was going on in the 80s , 90s up until the early 2000s on Youtube.

That was a great interview I love interviews with these guys cos it's rare anyone takes the time. He comes across very switched on. That Human Weapon thing, well Yoddecha was just playing, pulling everything back, not even a 2nd gear spar. I love the Dzhabar spar, I really enjoyed watching that and can't help thinking Yod got the better of him. I'm a real fan of Dzhabar he really fights with a Thai's heart (sounds arrogant but is a big compliment in LOS). He has the right temprement for Thailand, always cheery not moody like alot of the French fighters.

He's an ATG or very close no doubt, I was searching but can't find his record to match him against any big names but if in any doubt about his status read this except from an interview:

SG Pro: Not a problem, Yoddecha! You are known to be a fearless fighter, we read somewhere that a few years ago, you were in a tough fight with an excellent opponent. During the third round, you threw a right kick and your knee came completely out from its socket! You did not quit and fought on, eventually winning by KO! How did you do that? How did you find the strength to finish the fight?

Yoddecha: Yes, that is true. I was fighting the European Muay Thai Champion. I threw a right roundhouse kick in the 3rd round and my knee got completely dislocated. It was very painful. (Later, the doctor told me that I ripped my ACL and MCL completely and also tore my meniscus. I later had surgery to reconstruct my knee). But it was only the 3rd round of the fight and I could not quit. So I kept fighting. Also, the adrenaline of the fight helped me to ignore the pain. Mental strength is something that comes with doing Muay Thai. You learn to overcome exhaustion and pain. Luckily, I won the fight!

Here he is patiently disecting an outclassed Neungtrakan Por Muang Ubon in Issan.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TydeCoAAZ0"]www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TydeCoAAZ0[/ame]

I found another clip of him against a gutsy Matteo Sciacca, but it was abit ugly and scarppy nad the best kick is obscured by some guys fat arse!

You see similar performances pulled at expensive tourist dinners, but not with quite so much skill. Looks like it hurts, but these guys are masters at pulling kicks, lots of ex fighters stage fights in bars that look pretty real but aren't with similar kinds of skills. By the way most Thai fighters don't know all those full on names for techiques mentioned in the clip.
