Default Alexis Arguello vs Hilmer Kenty

With his skillset, could Hilmer keep Alexis off him for the full 15, or would Alexis kayo him in the middle to late rounds?

i dont see how kenty could pull this off. arguello is too strong, punches too hard and is too technically sound.

kenty may be a bit faster, so i say arguello catches him in seven.

Hilmer was a good fighter, but not in the same league as Arguello who would stop him in the mid rounds

Hilmer would need to try outboxing Alexis with blinding speed, and movement around the perimeter, as he did John Montes. If he goes after Arguello like Elizondo did, and in the way Kenty paradoxically stalked opponents during his title run, then Alexis might take his head off. Even Andy Ganigan couldn't prevail by outbombing Arguello, and Pryor frequently used movement against Alex in Miami.

Unfortunately for Hilmer, only Vilomar Fernandez was ever able to decision a prime Arguello using movement (although plenty of others tried), and even then, Vilomar only did it the first time, just over a ten round distance, vastly different from a 15 rounder.

Alexis would immediately zero in on Hilmer's sternum, and undertake target practice while walking through whatever Kenty sent in his direction. If Kenty tries to win by advancing, he'll be disposed of within eight rounds. If he attempts the standard strategy of speed and lateral movement, he'll do considerably better, but will still wilt in the championship rounds. My guess here is that Steward and Kenty will forego charging Alexis in favor of the more conservative strategy.

Arguello TKO 13 Kenty

I think Alexis pulls out the tightest decision win he would've ever pulled.Hilmer has the skills to beat Alexis, and actually would put Arguello at a slight height disadvantage, but Alexis' experience would win him the fight, accentuated with a late knockdown.

First time Kenty engages at short range, Alexis zeros in on that high held chin and puts Hilmer down for the count.

Arguello in 4 rds.

Someone who lost after only four years as a pro to Sean"My dad's a corrupt cunt" O'Grady will most likely not be capable of keeping Flaco off for more than six rounds.
He made hard work of beating some very average guys as well.

Is this based on the fact that he did well in some amateur bouts against The Hawk?
I know he beat the guy who shocked Flaco but that was just a fluke loss for Arguello and should count for nothing.
