Kołodziej was set to fight AFOLABI on Klitschko Adamek undercard, but pulled out due to some injury.

Then he had some layoff and had one fight after it to keep active. During that period Ola became a WBO #1 contender (probably he knew about it before). Why on earth would then Afolabi take risk fighting relatively unknown Kołodziej for a low paycheck instead of waiting for a bout against Huck, or ineterim belt?

Similair with Kolodziej who know will fight for #2 spot in IBF?

Also I think money was a serious issue. Apart from Wroclaw card it was probably hard for promoters to organize such event

Kolodziej had some elbow injury, which is why he only fought twice in 2011

a fight with Afolabi would be interesting, especially if Huck vacates his title and stays at HW

Definately not hating on Kolodziej. Or anyone. By the way thats also my last name. I just thought since Ola changed trainers he has become a much better fighter. Kolodziej's record seems to be loaded with a lot of tomato cans. But the few times he stepped up in competition he improved.

Agreed. Kolodziej is a good fighter in a shitty promotion company. 12KP are a joke...They wait forever to step up...Kolodziej should be stepping up now...A fight with Fragomeni, Flores or Arslan would be good stepping stones.

Yes. It won't do him any good to wait longer. Kolodziej needs to step up this year, be tested by a decent veteran like Fragomeni or Arslan, or by a (fringe) contender like Flores.
