Default Euro Olympic qualifiers

Anyone any interest/opinions on this;

Back to the 49 kg qualifers;
There are four places left for Europeans and Paddy is the stand-out fighter. The best light-flys are in Asia and then the Americas. Below are my top 10 Euro picks;
1-Barnes
2-Ayrapetan-Russia
3-Alizada-Azerbaijan
4-Galanov-Russia
5-De la Neive-Spain
6-Beccu-France
7-Ferramosca-Italy
8-Pehlivan-Turkey
9-Edwards-GB
10-Danielyan-Armenia
with honourable mention to the Ukrainian Shkarubo.
Ayrapetan and de la Neive (both were in the field when Paddy won the 2010 Euro's beating the Spaniard on the way) have already qualified and Galonov as a Russian cannot now get in. Beccu also qualified as a top loser in the Worlds.
Current Euro cahamp Alizada could beat Barnes on a good night(he has won and lost to Burnett) but after that we are down to 7 to 10 who are all very even and a step below our wee fella.
PS, IABA, get him fights!
In Michael McDonagh's 60 kg weightclass two of the top Europeans, the great Lomachenko and Valentino have qualified, leaving four places.The Russian selection, either Selimov or Polyanskiy(who robbed Nevin at 56 in the Euro's) will be a strong favourite to progress. However after that the Irishman has a good chance. Keles won the European with some home Turkish bias, Ward and Burhard have mixed in on pretty level terms with Donovan and David Oliver so the very underated Dubliner can cause a surprise.
My top Euro 12;
1-Lomanchenko)Ukr)-qualified
2-Selimov(Russia)
3-Valentino-Italy-Qualified
4-Polyanskiy(Russia)-probably wont get to the qualifiers, Selimov.
5-Matviychuk(Ukr)-Lomanchenko already in.
6-Keles(Turkey)-should be fancied at home.
7-Burhard-(Ger)-beat DOJ at the pre-Olympics in London, I fancy his chances.
8-Ward(UK) half Irish but has underperformed at times.
9-McDonagh-our boy
10-Isayev-(Azer) young, inconsistant but a real threat.
11-Baranchic-(Belarus)
12-Azzedine(France) Qualified through the WSB but hasn't produced in Championships for a while.
Varga from Hungary also qualified at the Worlds but I would also have him behind Kaya from Sweeden or Saruhanyan of Armenia.

Selimov, Keles, Burhard and McDonagh!

It's a shame that Selimov will never turn pro. The kid would be an excellent professional fighter.

Lomachenko is a future star. I cannot wait to see a Lomachenko-Broner at 135lbs.

April 13th.

I'm entering in the 81 kg weight class! Only three spots left, so it will definately be hard. But also very fun.

Good luck man. Damn i hate Cuba's Cruz at 81 he personifies the worst aspects of the Cuban school running, pot shotting, feather punching joke.

Thanks!

In my opinion Mekhontsev beat him in the the semi final at the Worlds. He was robbed.

Well to 81kg and Joe Ward, can't see anyone touch him to be honest if he gets himself there in the right frame of mind-I think he will have learned from the Worlds. Aliyev or Bouhenia could be competitive but I actually think Egan would have qualified if he got past Ward.
81kg Europe.
1-Mekhontsev-Russia(already qualified)
2-Ward
3-Ivanov-Russia(can't qualify now)
4-Gvozdik(Ukraine)-Already through.
5-Bouhenia-France
6-Aliyev-Azer
7-Egan-Ireland
8-Szello-Hun
9-Soyak-Turk
10-Dauhaliavets-Bel
11-Karlson-Sweeden`
12-Koelling-Ger-Already qualified

64 is the toughest division to qualify from for London. Hickey is as god as anyone(as Moylette would be) but with only one position available the Russian selection will have to be defeated, as simple as that. Solyanikov or new star Uzlyan will box for them and Ross is one of the few good enough to beat them.
1=Berinchik-Ukr-QUALIFIED
2-Stalker-UK-QUALIFIED
2-Uzlyan-Russia
4-Solyanikov-Russia-won't be there if Uzlyan is
5-Kate-QUALIFIED
6-Moylette-Ire-won't be there
7-Mangiacapre-It-QUALIFIED
8-Kuncatis-Lit-Top youth,real danger.
9-Chladek-Czeck-very experienced
10-Javakhyan-Arm-top man but waning?
11-Hickey-Ire-real dark horse
12-Hajialiyev-Aze

Alonso(Sp) or Yigit(Sw) have also qualified but the Russian, Hickey, Kuncatis or Chladek would be well fancied over either.

Usky has pound for pound type of skills. Beterbiyev is also very skilled. I think either man can profesisonal champion at crisuer weight or light heavyweight.

Pulev is pertty good. Can't stand Russo.
