Don't get me wrong, he looks really good there and has beaten some notable fighters but a lot of it is based on how he looked moreso than who he beat.
We have: Diego Corrales Genaro Hernandez Angel Manfredy Below this, we have the likes of- Jesus Chavez and after that no one else even worth noting. So I don't know where this ultra hype is coming from, not when there's names floating around like Nelson, Chavez, and Arguello or even the fab 4 that came after him

Because of the available competition you'll have to fight outside of the weightclass in question- people are contending that he was the GOAT at 130 because of how he looked, so lets say we include the surrounding two weight classes, who can we include? Just Castillo. N'dou is more along the likes of Jesus Chavez, not really noteworthy. Nelson? He has guys like Ruelas, Fenech, Leija at the end of his career, and even Gomez who moved up and beat Lockridge these are much bigger names Arguello's resume is a little more sporadic with the weights but he beat the great Olivarez at 126 who many have in the top 5 (top 3?) ATG mexicans. He SMASHED Escalera who had been in a great streak of successful defenses. TWICE. He also beat Ruben Castillo who was 46-0 (I know you guys love dat 0) JCC, well, he beat Uncle Roger I'm not trying to go too deep with the names there just the top few wins otherwise I'd be giving them credit for wins that I'm criticizing Floyd over. -------------------- Carlos Hernandez was a total nobody. After getting his ass whooped by G Hernandez he fought a bunch of cans until he got his title shot with Floyd. (For teh lolz he later loses to Blow blow Pacquiao later on as well) Vargas lost to the guy above. Nuff said |

Resume wise, he's not the best, but overall, he maybe. I don't like saying he's the GOAT there, but I can't tell you who is. Floyd is definitely a contender though

I saw Floyd fight a lot fights at 130.
Pacman would beat him. Floyd too offensive and pac would walk through him and hurt him to body. Pac by KO 12...better than what Mayweather do at 147 cuz Pac stop him in 8 there but still Pacman beat him worse at 130. |

FLoyd's resume is highly overrated. Most of those guys mentioned(at 130) were no more than B-level fighters. |

If you make the list primarily on H2H, then he's got as good a case as any. His resume really can't compete with that of Arguello, but it's definitely solid. I'd have him at #3, all things considered.
