I know...Ike was the greater fighter (#4 at LW IMO)......but I think prime Billy would be a great opponent.....
How do you see this ? Who ?? Why ? At LW...15 rounds... |

A tough one (once again). Beau Jack, Bob Montgomery and Sammy Angott are the three Williams fought who really came forward and mixed it up with him as Petrolle would. All met with with varying degrees of success and failure. Petrolle was a harder, cleaner puncher than Angott and just about as strong and durable, so maybe those are the best fights to draw your parallel scenario. Angott gave Ike all sorts of problems. Petrolle would too, maybe worse.
I can see a series between these two, with Ike taking three of five bouts. |
