The only argument against him is the Bugner fight, where Joe backed up and showed good sportsmanship to Bugner who was frozen before falling to the canvas.

Absolutely Frazier is one of them for the exact reasons you mention and coming back to this thread it's surprising only two people have mentioned him.
Also good to see Mercer getting a mention, he was indeed 'Merciless' when the opportunity arose.
