Been to a few big shows but was my first small hall show, bur really enjoyed it. Tommy Coyle caught Higginson with a good body shot in the 3rd and he stayed down for the count. Sykes fought Dean Mills, Sykes never looked in control and was regularly caught with big shots, it was reasonably close and wouldn't have argued with a draw or a round either way but it was scored 59-55 to Sykes which was very surprising. Out of five I'd have given it 3.5

I wonder if Sykes has lost a bit of his edge although never been most defensively sound fighters, thanks for feedback .

Saturday 7 April 2012

Grove Leisure Centre, Newark, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom

A.A Lowe SC Terry Maughan 10x3
Joel Haigh SC Graham Fearn 6x2
Adam Kettleborough SC Dan Carr 6x2
Gordon Watson SC Bobby Wood 6x2
Raymond Ginley SC Jody Meikle 4x3
Anthony Cacace SC Kristian Laight 4x3
Rick Boulter SC Steve Spence 4x2

Looks a very honest card, plenty of fights that are guys who have patchy records. Could be worth a look for lads around that area.
