Yeah I have noticed this about Floyd as of late. Especially against Shane. His demeanor in the third round was special.

Mosley fight, he came out nasty in that third round. Just to prove the point I think, 'I'm better than you' Even then he's defensively responsible, he doesn't go all out. He'd be a real pain in the arse to fight

I think he should use the one that Mosley did, at least to a certain extent, but do it better.

He needs to keep the fight in the center of the ring, make Cotto miss and burn energy, and don't get into a habit of following him.

If Floyd can manage to keep himself from going after Cotto early, he can potentially tire Cotto out, and start applying more pressure from the apex of the ring, onward, anticipating the movement of his opponent.

He has to be careful though because unlike, the version of Cotto that fought Shane, this one has a right hand and a new bag of tricks as well as improvements in his previous game.

Cotto deserves respect, but Mayweather will beat him by keeping the fight in the center of the ring and eventually applying, slow, educated pressure, and possibly gunning for a KO.

Styles make fights, and this is possibly a tougher test for Mayweather than for Pacquaio due to the style implications.

As for Cotto, he needs Floyd to get aggressive and follow him around the ring. If Mayweather does play it smart, and keep it in the center of the ring, Cotto must pressure his way in, and attack Mayweather in ways that will back him into a punch.

In this fight, we will see that Mayweather still has his legs as he will use them early to circle away from Cotto's attacks.

Mayweather has to box Cotto to beat Cotto.

I'd compare Cotto more to Marquez then Mosley. Similar height, similar reach, difference is Cotto has more power, Marquez better boxer, both decent combination punchers. I see Mayweather boxing more like he did with Marquez and not walking Cotto down as much as he did Mosley.

As i said watch Mayweathers jab in this fight.

Basically this. I see small varying details, but this will be the back bone of the
plan. A stoppage anywhere between 9-11th.

Mark my words, the dominate punches for Mayweather will be the jab, the sneak right hand and one that he hasn't used in a while, that leaping left hook that he shook up Corrales with. Cotto is made for those punches.

He used that leaping left hook on marquez for the knock down, I remember my friend saying he pushed him down but when you see it in slo-mo it was spot on the chin and Marquez was going to go down, I remember when he was talking in the post fight of the shane fight how he noticed shane likes to break with the hook too so he stopped trying to use that punch against shane, that leaping left hook is a great punch to use on cotto he is still very sneaky and quick with it but does not use it as much

Blueprint? Wtf? Floyd just has to be Floyd. The question is, will he be the cautious, measured Floyd, or the aggressive, there-to-entertain Floyd? Either way, he's gonna win, and he's gonna win big. I'm having a hard time figuring out why this is such a hard concept for so many people to grasp.

then proceeded to take out the rest of the round..
