Golovkin`s talent is harming him at the moment. He does not have name recognition, so brings no money, but probably beats everybody from the MW division at the moment.

It would be wise for his career to pile up a good sequence of fights against famous gatekeepers and contenders to solve his obscurity. Vera, Mora, Manfredo, Ishida, Winky Wright, Angulo, Cintron, Margarito, Clottey, Macklin, Lee, Mundine, Barker.

Look govolkin is a very good fighter but he has not faced any 1 like martinez in the paid ranks. yes i think he can win but he is the under dog make no mistake martinez will take him into deep water its how he responds to adversity that will tell us if he belongs with the elite he has very good power govolkin but martinez has power,speed of hand & foot so i think its 60%/40% in favor of martinez at this point. cheers guys

Great fight almost a 50/50 but I slightly favour Martinez. Could see GG winning but also he never faced anyone like Martinez as a pro which I think could tell.

I hear you, but that's not really how the sport works.

You don't get a guy a lot of fans haven't heard of who might beat you and fly him in for St.Paddy's weekend.

You get an Irishman you are pretty sure you can beat but who won't fall over at the first sign of trouble.

If Pirog want's to force a champion's hand he needs to get to the states and start beating up his own Macklins, make a fight with him impossible to avoid.

We had the same thing with Calzaghe not a few years ago...
