I think Dwight's pressure may outpoint Joey in this one...not sure Maxim has the pop in his shots to keep Qawi honest the way Mike Spinks did...

Pursuant to that old Maxim - Styles make fights, - Dwight really hated good movers, hit-an-flit merchants, Johnny Davis first hinted at this, Later Mike spinks with Threat and Movement left Dwight half-a-step behind, Stand and trade with Dwight and he could fillet you, use the ring and stay resolute and you could be the style beneficiary and come out on top, it takes a good man to do it, and Joey wasnt bad, sooo providing Joey does not Lumber himself with toio much aggression...(because we know what a Buzzsaw does with Lumber dont we...)

Very tough call.
Maxim is the better boxer but Qawi was a wonderful boxer himself. The Qawi who beat Leon Spinks was a murderer with great power, and he gets my vote here, but that was at cruiser. At 175, I like the tough Maxim to take a decision in which Qawi is competitive and dangerous for 10 rounds, but becomes frustrated for the next 5 rounds. |

Maxim carried more boxing knowledge in his pinky than Qawi ever could hope to know. To say that Qawi would beat him is difficult to support. To say that Qawi would knock him out is absurd (as the info in my earlier post clearly demonstrates).
Maxim UD Qawi. |
