I thought he was on decline, not based on Tony or PAC fight, but on Foreman and Mayorga. I don't think the match with Stewart was good for him, but he looked fresh and strong bs Margarito. Granted Tony is legit shot...but he's better than the two guys he looked so so against in Mayorga and Foreman. He's not prime bit he's not shot either.

I'd take Mayorga over this Margarito..any Margarito really...Margarito was only a good fighter when he was using the wraps

Real posters watch the sport of boxing; they don't just watch Pacquiao and what goes on around him...lil bitch.

Talk to me when you watch the sport...not just your boyfriend Manny Pacquiao.

So easy to pick on this faggot
why are you evading my question? is it hard for you to admit that you ****ed up when you said that cotto was damaged before but now cotto is a "repaired goods" once he is fighting your boy floyd?

yeah you have the respect of the Klitschko fans, Joe C. fans, Hopkins fans, mayorga fans, malignaggi fans and the rios fans yet you're the retard who turned his opinion 360 when it is convenient for your boy.

However with all that being said Cotto has certainly redeemed himself in recent years, especially at 154. People claim Mosley is shot, yet a shot mosley beat the shit out of a prime margarito, so how do ever truly determine what is shot or not. I would agree that cotto is past prime, so to is his opponent on may 5th. It should be a good fight.
what a joke.

If that's you're case, all 'PRIME' fighters should be undefeated.
Cotto's 27 for God's sake - you call that shot?

Shot? No, definitely not as evidenced by the Mayweather fight. Also, I don't believe Mayweather broke him or something - in fact, Cotto fared better than expected. I do have a problem with people discrediting wins by calling the losing fighter shot when there's little evidence to it. I admit, Cotto is faded but this fight wasn't even close; no 154 version of Cotto would ever beat Trout.

Being shot at merely 32 is rather unusual as well.

Past his absolute best but he isn't shot. Every fighter doesn't fit neatly into a "prime" or "shot" category.

Hes not "shot"

but there are factors working against him at this point.

hes not at his best obviously, thats been a fact for a while.

hes very small for 154lbs.

Trout is a crafty and good fighter. So when you mix the size, with all the other variables you get a very good fight on Cotto's hands that he just couldn't pull off the victory in.

Very fair and reasonable analysis. Cotto is really ****ed that he can't make 147 (or so I heard) and being too small for LMW.

Opinions about being 'shot' or 'prime' are merely subjective. But I don't think the fighter's performances of every fight's are the only basis of it. Some fighters could have faded earlier but can also have good night performances anytime. Some fighters could be in their best peak but can also have bad night performances. Age can also play a good factor on it but it's not just a sole basis on it as well. This one is merely an opinion basis type of a question. Not absolute

But one thing I'm sure is that every fighter ages now and then for every fight they have.
