Yes, because only in the United States do blatant robberies occur, I mean if the USA could be half as honest as Germany, Finland, Argentina, and Mexico where robberies have never ever happened, we would be so much better.

Boxing has terrible scoring all around the world, not just the US.

Ehh...based on what?

It's actually the fight games dependancy on gambeling that keeps the sport alive and decisionwise pretty clean. Bad decisons do happen alot in international boxing in Thailand but are totally unrelated to gambling, they are just a case of power in a home country, if the fight is half way close our guy wins end of story kind of attitiude.

All due respect but I have to disagree. Keep in mind I'm talking about HUGE gamblers. There are currently several investigations into fight fixing in Thailand specifically and Asia in general. Either you're unwilling to admit the role that Line Movers have or are unaware that they exist. I'd bet on the former.

I know right? How much foul shyt have we seen go down in England as well?

There's no such thing as one country being "more corrupt" than the other. THe fact is, the fighter with the promotional muscle (which usually happens to be the hometown fighter/fan favorite) will ALWWAAAYYS get favoritism. . . Sometimes it's subtle, and other times it's just a blatant, flat out robbery.

The promotors are the ones paying the judges! That's who also gets to choose, and pays for their travel, lodging, food budget, etc. . . If you want to get hired to do championship fights (which are basically only put on by a handful of promotors), then OF COURSE you're going to be inclined to be bias. . . It's a HUGE conflict of interest that everybody just seems to ignore.

It's no different in any continent in which a boxing match goes down. . .

THere should be a commission, an entity separate and distinct from promotional outlets. . . This entity has a random pool of judges, and referees in which they simply draw from a hat. . .

Make all the promotors pay a monthly fee to the commission, AND THEN the commission will pay the judges, and their accommodations. . . Something like that.

I'd even be happy with an oversight body that reviews every decision and determines whether or not the result is legitimate. This is impractical but I'd rather at least discuss it than pretend the problem doesn't exist.
