Default Long Term Jinxes in Boxing....

What are the infamous jinxes in boxing that took forever or indeed have yet to be broken?

For example it took until 1985 for a reigning 175lbs Champ to become Heavyweight Champ (Michael Spinks).

It took even longer for a Southpaw to become Heavyweight Champ (Moorer).

In 1986 won the British Boxing Board of Control reinstated their title at 130lbs, it would take Neil Haddock, the 14th different champ, to make a successful first defence of the title.

Boxing Weekly (a British boxing magazine), had to discontinue it's New Faces segment, when after a year of running it, not one fighter (and there were normally a couple a week), had gone more than six months without losing after being featured.

It took 43 years for the heavyweight title to be exchanged via a points decision. Between Jimmy Braddock outpointing Max Baer in 1935 and Leon Spinks decisioning Muhammad Ali in 1978,the challengers had to stop the incumbent to win it.

thats more than likely down to poor talent & hype to begin with...

the Jinx I'm familar with is "the Middleweight Curse" and indeed this division has had more than it's fair share of Deaths, Suicides, fighters Shut-Out and Criminal Reprobates...

It might last as long as d human race existance until d superficial feminine split of fights 2 rds will b cancelled .
this is 1 of d worst things that really prevents it from being a real cox' contest .
MMA suffers from d same problem if im not mistaken .
when will they reallow pushes and backhand slaps ? prohibitting them is very bad , especially regarding pushes , which sometimes may b 2 hard 2 distinguish from punches , so y not allow them ? if some1 takes d risk of getting punched just so he could push , more power 2 him .
another 1 is d ignoring of video documented fouls , it is time 4 reversing judges & referees decisions based on clear video evidence 2 become more frequent .
fouling fighters should get banned , so it will b clear that there r rules in d sport , and that acts such as Hopkins' r not tolerable . but some recognize those acts as greatness .

MSG Bowl was known as the graveyard of champions as so many lost their titles there

Another strange one is the curse of EA Fight night, fighters appearing on the cover go on to lose or have bad things happen
