Good result against Oloukun. Now I hope he makes up for lost time and gets another good fight immediately.

And on the heels of Proksa losing- the Middleweights are losing some of their promise.

Good performance, but weird stoppage.

Really hope Proksa bounces back from that stupid loss. I believe he can pull it off... but if it's another shit performance then skeptics will be in the right.

So you saw the second half of a fight wherein he won almost every round but was dealing with a high-volume slapper? (and therefore got tired from being forced to defend so as to keep Ishida's connect %s down and not give rounds away) and weren't impressed?

It wasn't a blow-you-away performance or anything but Pirog looked good. Ishida's a pain in the ass. I do give Nobu props for his toughness after getting caught big a few times late, thought he'd be stopped here.

Don't put any faith in the Russian punch stats. They always seemed laughably incorrect and in the Lebedev-Cox fight i checked since it was so blatantly bad. In the second round they had Lebedev landing 4 punches, i counted something like 19.

Haven't seen either of todays fights yet ill comment after.

Don't get me wrong. Pirog won almost every round I saw except probably maybe 1. But he wasn't impressive. That is all. Even when I first tuned in it was half way through the fight and there seemed to be a lack of power behind his shots and he was honestly taking more from Ishida then a guy that gets so pumped on here should be, at least that is what I was thinking that Ishida was giving him more of a fight then people I think expected.

I remember that Lebedev/Cox punchstat. I honestly thought they mixed up the fighter's and assigned each the other's punchstat's.

I don't think the Pirog vs. Ishida stats given by Rossiya 2 on their onscreen graphic were all that skewed.

58% power punches for Ishida does seem high, but when you consider that a lot of his light rapid slaps to the body & sides of Dmitry's head technically count as power punches (since they aren't jabs...)

Glazkov said that he talked to his promoter Cyril Pchelnikov and that they're looking to fight May 25th in the USA. He said that there is some interest from American promoters in seeing him fight there. No specifics on an opponent, venue, supposed promoter or tv.

I'm very skeptical of any American promoters or TV actually caring about seeing him but if he could get on American TV even if it's only FNF that would be okay. Get his name out there a little.

He also was sparring with Huck before his Oloukun fight. He has also sparred with Lebedev.

I hope they can get him an American "prospect" like Joe Hanks or Tor Hammer.

Seth Mitchell is probbly too protected.

Fighting Konstantin Airich on the Vitali undercard according to boxrec. If this actually comes off it should prove a good stepping stone for Glazkov. He's wasted pretty much all of the years he's been pro already and should have had a lot more fights.
