If Crolla hadn't been defending himself, then fine. But he was moving, throwing shots and had just turned Derry on the ropes. ****ing shameful and out of context of the rest of the fight.

Crolla deserves a rematch.

Gallagher must feel a bit of a dick now insisting that the refs were switched....delighted for Matthews

Jim was on Derry's nut sack as soon as he dropped Crolla, he is an awful commentator.

It was an awful stoppage. He had a minute to recover, maybe Matthews would have ended it or maybe Crolla would have come back again. It was a great fight while it lasted but the stoppage ruined it.

What a load of Bollocks. I understand the ref has to look after the fighters health, but that was shocking.
Still, fair play to Matthew's, it was a great performance.

there was only a couple of seconds left in the round

the ref has got to be more aware.......hard to see how that should have been stopped right there

Ref stopped it too early but with the way the fight was going Crolla would've ended up being sparked in brutal fashion. He was getting to Matthews a little bit but Derry had the bit between his teeth.

Very reminscent of Bellew-Ovil I that was.

Overcome the big shot of the round, then get stopped on a pitter patter slap.

****ing pathetic.
