Last time he tried to say that he went in the back and tried to sweat more weight off before coming back two pounds heavier, then he tried to blame the calibration of the scale. I think he knew that bullshit excuse wasn't gonna fly again.

It's not a big deal. It was only two lbs., it gained him no real advantage during the fight, and he was going to move up in his next fight anway. He obviously tried to lose the weight and couldn't do it. No reason to drain himself further the day before the fight when he plans on moving up anyway.

You know nothing if you don't think he and his team tried eveything possible to get down to 135. It cost Rios nearly 75% of his purse. He basically fought for free. He took the fight because he wanted a pay day not to fight for free.
