Default Re: What now for Crolla?

He needs to learn how to capitalise when he has someone on the ropes. Couple of times I thought Crolla could have made more of shots but just covered up instead. Anthony really needs to take a big lesson from this he was taking needless punches all night and just going at it bull in a china shop without standing back picking his shots and thinking about what he's doing. I still think the ref was wrong to stop the fight but thats crappy british boxing refs for you.

But Crolla's young enough to come back harder and stronger from this just hope he has the right guidence and confidence builders in place for him to do it.

Rematch, Crolla has the talent, not sure what he was doing with his defence last night though.

Lets hope this fight makes and not breaks him, His guard is tight no prob, decent variety of punches. But he needs a drilling on head movement and ring savvy

Let the cut heal up, rest from gym to recover after a war then look to get rematch with Derry.

Imo Joe was fishing for a fight with Ricky Burns before last night,Team Corolla were offered the fight and said NO i think they'd wish they'd have took it now?

agree with this, although last night also showed the importance of having a world class trainer, or at the very least a trainer who can develop different styles and not clone the same one regardless of a fighters strengths and weaknesses.
