This completely misses the point.

Box Nation could be something but its got the wrong people in charge of it who are drasticly out of touch with

Lets be real. Had any young casual fans accidently switched to Box Nation on saturday night and seen Buncey and Lillis discussing some western from 1951 would they have kept watching and paid there 10??

Take that same young casual fan and have them switch on the free preview of UFC 137 and I wonder how many more subscribers ESPN got than Box Nation.

Box Nation could work if it was marketed well and pushed correctly. Instead it has become a way for ***** W*rren to push mis matches and Steve Bunce to slag of a company that doesn't agree with his ideas for what makes good TV.
But at least we have it. Fights are being made and shows are taking place.

Having both Ringside and Bunce's Boxing Hour is better than having just Ringside.

Having four shows over two weekends is better than having only two shows.

It's really not hard to work out.

Would be good if a promoter struck a deal with Endemol(they do loads of shows, they do Big Brother, but recently did a wrestling show in India amongst other things), and they did a Contender-style programme on 5 like Noonan said. One of the major issues with drawing in the casual fan is getting the viewer to know the fighters.

The alternative for Frank after Sky Sports was less dates with ITV/ESPN or set up Boxnation. He chose the latter. If there are only 17k subscribers you have to question the business sense in buying the rights to expensive fights such as Mayweather/Cotto whilst running domestic shows.

BoxNation have changed their subscription to monthly. Blatently for the Cotto-Mayweather fight but good on them. It gives their product more credibility.

Is there a source for 17k subscribers? Around Christmas I heard it was 10k.

It wont help them to keep long term subscribers.

Look guys, I've been shooting the breeze with a few associates and really think if we all got together for some blue sky thinking we could really grab hold of that low-hanging fruit and make this venture work. We need to push the envelope and maximize leverage on the boxing market.

Leforge - let's take this offline, this BoxNation thing really has legs.

not its bang on the point you said Frank wanted to be with ITV but clearly he didn't as he left them.

if he had done a good job with Sky and put on value for money PPV's and saturday night shows he might also be in a good position.
