Fail? He's a 23 year old undefeated British champion.

Yes, he should make the move now.

Move to who though? Maybe Billy Nelson? He could get good sparring with Burns.

Rendall will beat him regardless of who's in his corner.

I think Quigg should go with McCracken or Tibbs.

He's gone backwards since he moved to Gallaghers, so yeah, I think so.

He gets hit more and more, his footwork isn't as sharp either.

Quigg, to me, seems to be quite good skilled defensively. This was because his first 15 fights were not with Gallagher.

Over time his defensive skills will be de-skileld if he stays with him. He needs to change gyms.

I actually think Billy Graham would be perfect for Quigg.

His version of the Manchester style was far more suited to a naturally fleet footed kid like Quigg.

The ''hands under the chin'' guard whilst applying pressure is far more suitable than the earmuffs, which is a much harder skill to pull off effectively IMHO, it reduces the opportunity to draw the lead and counter (which Hatton lived off) and leaves you wide open to straight shots and uppercuts.

A little bit of lateral movement back into his game would make him much more effective, together with a little bit of variety into his offensive work.

For all Hatton became a face first wrestle with practically no head movement, in addition to being left hook happy - take away the last three or four fights and you see a different animal.... a hittable fighter but one who didn't take too much punishment, and an effective punch picker comfortable leading and countering.

At the moment, Gallagher fighters are one way - forward. No lateral movement, no trying to walk the opponent on to anything..... one thing he is good at (in addition to conditioning) is working on the offence inside - but that's got to be complimented by being able to block what's coming back. At the minute, that's sorely missing.

Intesting, I think Scott's got a nice varitety of punches and ability to put them together. Strong kid who's got a decent engine to carry out his onslaughts but i think he's a tad predictable in his work against better level guys he'll get countered and lead off on. He's got a wide seam guard with no head movement for most part which is dangerous.

He's squared up on shoulders and doesn't hide minimize the size of target he really exposes it. The Munroe fight's winnable but i think if Rendall's got a good plan he can match and take Quigg into places he's never been before and win a great fight.

I like Quigg and do rate him, but the problem he will have is, he is quite predicable, so if your an opponent you can prepare well because you know what he's about and although he does have a bit of variety, I don't think its enough in the long run?

I will add knowing what he's going to do and dealing with it is two different things.
