fuck knows. I just pay my tenner...but I'd guess the foreign cards have to be paid for. The promoters generally hold the overseas rights for those, not the "home" TV channel.

They are impoving all the time the Quigg-Munroe card looks quality so dropping them now would be strange. It looks like Price might of saved Maloney.I think the Hattons deserved 8-10 shows a year.

I would be surprised if they don't renew the Hatton contract. Firstly, they will want to keep hold of Quigg. The Hatton shows have been of good quality, they have a nice stable of fighters, and I think Sky like being able to say they have Ricky on their network.
Now, if it is the case, it would be deplorable. It sounds to me though that somebody just found a loose thread, kept pulling it at, and seen where it took them. |

A giant mansion on top a mountain amongst the clouds.
Hearn is standing at the end of a long table flanked by his fighters. He raises a glass with the echoes of laughter. 'First Sky..... THEN THE WORLD!!!' |

the article is pure speculation. i got a feeling they will have free slots for any promoter also. Hatton, Coldwell, Woods etc.
I beleive sky is changing it approach and only putting on big shows from now on. 3 fights cards the minimum. big arena shows. Hatton Promotions biggest ever card is Quigg vs Munroe and its going ahead in the Velodrome. why is this bad for boxing. all the fighters under one roof we have a UFC effect, the best fighting the best and eddie is prepared to take risks with his fighters. |

Maybe there will be a different deal for Friday nights or even a more regular wid week bouts?
Match room are rewarded with Sarurday nights while the others put on the occasional other show alongside Prizefighter. I know it's been mentioned about filling out the cards but in Olympic year we aren't going to be going short of filler, development fights, to plump up a card. Maybe Boxnation has awoken the sleeping giant into giving Boxing a stage in the hope that it still can get the publics interest. If interesting matches are made at the higher levels, domestic contenders lined up against each other alongside the next generation, it could be a worthwhile package. |
