It's a numbers game. You do the math.

If you're telly is good enough you can hardly tell the difference between HD and normal.

ha glad you liked it

to be fair you have a point just annoys me sometimes that sky (and hearn) seem to be pandering to the casuals rather than boxing fans but as you say figures are the name of the game and thats were they get these from, yeah think i'm gonna hold fire for now

It was Harrison, not Haye, who was the major disappointment.

You seem to have dodged the Klitschko PPV?

I think Sky needs at least 2 promotors. Cant see Ricky doing a deal with ****** or Boxnation so that leaves Sky in prime position the last card wasnt bad. I think Sky would like to do the Quigg v Munroe fight again as that card wasnt too bad.

I think they will show a couple more fights no doubting about it be it some Golden Boy Cards if it is only the Matchroom cards but it goes in ways of this. Sky lose interest for a bit a few months. Then Sky come back with a bang and start backing promotors. I think Sky might take a step and say to Maloney and Hatton make the best fights you can and we will show them on Sky prove your worth a new contract like the Hearns have done.

Am I the only one who thinks this should be updated by someone else, now that you have to sign up to some other bull?

According to the now boxing website the Martinez v Chavez fight is priced at a ridiculous £ 14.95 a full £5 more than a month's action on Boxnation. It's shameful - please do not buy . Make a stand no matter how small it seems.

It actually depends on quite a few factors. The cameras used are the most significant. I work in broadcasting and quite a lot of "HD" footage being approved by broadcasters is very poor. Some standard def pictures do look better. But on the whole if you use the right lighting, record the right codecs, don't compress the hell out of it during transmission, then It's usually better in HD

Default Researching Boxing on TV!

Hi just wondering if anyone could help.

Just looking into which TV channels have shown overseas boxing and wondered whether it was just Sky, Boxnation, Setanta, Premier Sports, ESPN, Eurosport and Nuts TV.

I know that BBC, ITV and Channel 5 have shown fights that they have a contract with the promoter of the fight but have they ever shown a one off world title fight? I'm sure Holyfield was once live on channel 5.

Cheers.

Khan v Malignaggi was live on ITV1, and ITV didn't have contracts with any promoters at the time.

When did Nuts TV show boxing?
