Sadly it's not official, Shaunster. The pre-fight meal made sure the time was regarded as wind-assisted.

that's a first for indoor athletics too if I'm not mistaken.

Overall just a tragic night for Enzo and Welsh sports in general. He could have finished that night as a unified CW champion and a world indoor athletics record holder. Instead he made a silly mistake and came home empty handed.

You can't blame people for wondering 'what if'

Baaastard, surely a more pertinent question would be, why are you such a tit?

too true.

seriously though, he was a molly-coddled WBO paper titlist, believed his own hype and got exposed a few times. He was a glass-jawed journeyman all along.

Still awaiting the results of the blood test......

I discovered a picture recently of him about to devour a giant pie, I can't find it now though.

I honestly believe that I would put Enzo to sleep with my left jab.

The history of boxing is littered with great stories.

Dempsey - Firpo
Dempsey - Gibbons
Louis - Schmeling II
Louis - Conn I
Clay - Cooper I
Clay/Ali - Liston

We can add to the list That Fateful Night.

In years to come, whenever true fight fans get together one of the things that will result in voices being raised will be the chat about the immediate pre-fight routine of Enzo Mac That Fateful Night.

Was the Vauxhall People Carrier (W549 OPS) truly a suitable vehicle for conveying the WBO Champ to the O2 Arena?
Did Joe Calzaghe's dominoes victory over Big Enzo in the hotel affect his mindset?
What caused the headlight to fail on the Zafira?
Was there a healthier option available from Mickey's?
Was it Tizer or Dr Pepper that Big Enzo drank?
Why did Little Enzo make everyone throw their wrappers out of the window?
Was YMCA the right song to be playing on the Vauxhall's cassette player?
What happened to Big Enzo's pre-fight grooming regimen?
Why did Big Enzo try to beat John Regis's UK Indoor 200m record?

If these sort of discussions aren't your cup of tea (or can of tizer), then I'm not sure why you are on a Boxing Forum.
