Watching a boxer conduct a masterclass on a Sunday evening is an almost obscene pleasure

Upset what?

Paulie's the world champ, baby. Devon's some no-mark contender coming off a couple of 10-rounders (one of them a gift).

When the odds go up paulie won't be the favourite that's all I'm saying. Paulie decisions him IMO

Paulie V Brook would sell out Sheffield easily, would love to see it happen but can't see it happening now Paulie will have far more many options and can make much more money elsewhere

I knew what you meant. Just being cheeky.

(sort of...I really don't rate DA as a championship caliber welter, as it happens..)

Paulie could actually win that IMO, both very flawed fighters.

Please don't make Kell Vs Paulie I'm not sold on him being any better than he once was.

Great story this. Good to see Paulie pull out a performance like that.

Thought he finished.

Technical KO, but yes. You may hear some confused reports that it was a cuts stoppage, but that isn't the case.

There was a bad cut on Senchenko and Smoger lobbied for the physician at ringside to halt it on that basis between the 8th and 9th...but the doc said "fight on".

Then in the 9th Paulie just went for broke and started bombing away, and Smoger - Smoger, mind - waved it off to protect the former champ from any further punishment.
