Actually, you can. I won't get into that though. What I will say is that you could make that argument for pretty much every top level fighter. The sport is setup in manner that will it a frequent occurrence that good fights just don't get made.

You also have to ask yourself why he has been ranked as one of the best fighters in the sport for almost 15 years if his record is so padded. Hell, he came in 2nd in the fighter of the decade vote. He would've been first had he not taken so much time off.

you dont want to bring up 5 different weight classes now-a-days since it's such a fucking joke with the ridiculous amount of weight classes there are not to mention the 38 different god damn sanctioning bodies that can give you a championship belt through fighting no one. Floyd imo is the best fighter of our generation but once he hit welterweight he obviously stopped giving a fuck about legacy and being ranked amongst the greats as he himself has said many many times.

Not true, it was cotto who turned down the fight years ago(his team saying was to green for mayweather), same with prime Mosley when he said he was going on vacation then to the dentist instead of fighting floyd

To be fair, I don't even know all the dudes he ducked. I didn't follow Mayweather too hard until later. I just know he ducked people at 147 at a time the division was deep.

Fair enough, "retiring" when he did was a bad move in the sense that the division was hot and it looks like he walked away from all the challenges.

He said he needed his body to heal and recover, after so much time fighting at a high level, which is understandable if true
