I dont know about the truth but he is the best of the current crop mentioned.

You have to admit that we have not seen him face a higher level pressure fighter since Cordoba and he did not look great then.

Also what would happen when Rigo feels Donaires power? I know Rigo can outbox Donaire but there is a chance he runs after he feels his power.

Not only can he out box any 122, he can KO them too, as right now I think Rigondeaux is the more talented of the 4, Donaire has been fighting midgets for all his career, beside boxers always troubled ND, Mares pressure will fall into Rigondeaux strength and he can punch hard, he can knock you out with a body punch or to the jaw... Then again they all have to prove it in the ring.

yeah, he kinda flopped against cordoba. maybe the first time being on a stage that big had something to do with it. cant wait to see him against Kennedy tho.

The reason I ask is because I feel like Donaire-Moreno would be a great match up with the edge to Moreno. Donaires boxing skills are overrated as we have seen recently and Moreno is a hell of a boxer. Donaire is a physical freak though and can end the fight in one punch.

Mares seems to be underrated now and I think he would be the worst match up for Rigo.
Last time Rigo was pressured by Cordoba he showed fear and arguably lost in some peoples cards. Mares would definitely bring that type of pressure.

Donaire-Moreno
Mares-Rigo

I would like to see the tournament set up that way as it would be a great clash of styles on both matchups.

I honestly do not know who to pick here....

Very difficult to say. The fact that Mares might be the least likely shows you the depth of talent involved. I'm a fan of Rigondeaux and I think his blend of defence, hand-speed and vicious body attack gives everyone near his weight class a problem. You can make a reasonable argument for any fighter beating another here though.

It would be difficult to pick 4 guys of this calibre, so evenly matched in any weight class.
