Could he of still been active today? I know the Pac-Man Knockout was the nail in the coffin of his career, but would it of done him any favors if he had "Lived the life" between fights?

His style of fighting always meant his career wouldnt go on for long after 30.
I think he peaked before the Tyszu fight which is a shame because W.arren protected him for so long. You notice Ricky started to have stamina issues after the Maussa fight where as previously he was tireless and a machine, his lifestyle can't of helped and changing trainers wasnt a good idea either. Ricky retired at the right time and had he lived a healthier lifestyle he may have had another year or two left but it wouldnt have changed any of his losses. |
