Default Jaw clicking/popping?

so last weds i did some sparring and took a really good hook to the jaw and well it was pretty damn sore, a week now, it healed, then i sparred again and ended up with the right side of my jaw sore. I wear a mouthguard and maybe i boiled it wrong, is this normal? its clicking a bit and popping but its getting better. I just saw a post saying that eventually ill get a misaligned jaw.

to be honest im kind of scared of surgery so , im just curious

Also, is this normal or was my sparring partner just throwing to hard, I try to hit fast but put less body weight into my punch to avoid really hurting him. It kind of feels like he's putting everything into his punches.

Default Re: Jaw clicking/popping?

had this for years myself
it will reset itself eventually, if it was from the sparring
if it isn't, it could be anything, like your wisdom teeth pulling your jaw out of line.
