Default Most Hot And Cold Fighters

A few off the top of my head. As per usual, try not to give shitty one word answers

Terry Norris - Devastating boxer/puncher at his best. A world class finisher. Sadly he didn't possess the sturdiest whiskers... But when he was on, he was good.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John Tate - A 6'4 heavy with a 80' inch reach and plenty of physical tools. Early career struggles in SD wins against the likes of Johnny Boudreaux and a MD against Eddie Lopez were followed by demo-jobs on the likes of Bobick, Coetzee, and Knoetze.

For all his tools his mental strength was suspect, and after his last second failures against Berbick and Weaver, he was completely done as a fighter.

Ray Robinson, at his best almost imposible to beat. He has lossses that he simply should not have.

Eddie Mustafa Muhammad: brilliant against Jerry Martin and Marvin Johnson but abysmal against Snipes and Galindez.

Carlos De Leon (though his 'hot' was only ever lukewarm really.)

Eddie admitted he "wasn't ready for a Galindez"..I once read. Getting decked right after fouling Victor helped discourage him.

Kendall Holt. Wobbly in the chin department, sometimes capable of wars. Humongous power, but not a huge amount of stoppages. Well-schooled, but poor ring I.Q. All of these things add up to a notoriously hard to predict fighter.

Against a big and awkward, but totally average fighter

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JL4uxrFLAQ[/ame]

Against decent contender David Diaz

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iVdvzjA-IY[/ame]

Snatched a victory after being battered by Torres (after a controversial first fight) and then gave away a big early lead against Bradley, ditching his jab and falling apart. When he stepped it up again looked to be back in it, but too little, too late. Again, poor show of ring generalship.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMnVZlgHir0&feature=related[/ame]

Recently looked dreadful against the average Garcia, which was sandwiched in between devastating executions of below average fighters (Julio Diaz is nowadays anyway). Has also lost to way below average fighters.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbD9kr3wPCg[/ame]

All over the shop, you never know how focused he will be or won't be, or whether he'll find the punches on any given night or whether he'll get knocked around.

Perfect post.

Holt is actually one active fighter that I have a soft spot for. Real cool guy outside the ring too.

As I like to say, he's a poor mans Roy Jones when he's "on".
