Floyd made him look silly for a lot of the fight, just by covering up and using lateral body movement. Cotto was intent on pulverising Floyd's forearms and gloves since not many of his punches were actual scoring shots. Cotto is a big guy and has good fitness and kept moving forward and pressuring Floyd, but Floyd was never troubled. Some people are calling it a draw or a close decision...wtf? Cotto won a couple of rounds maybe.

I scored it 10-2 and my friend had it 9-3. I think my scorecard was a little too wide maybe, but Floyd was landing more clean shots than Cotto throughout the fight even off the ropes.
This fight looked like the De La Hoya and Castillo fight mixed. |

It was closer then your leting on, but Cotto made it very competitive throughout, and was turning the tide in the second half, until he gassed. Floyd never dominated him. Cotto lost on stamina.

Some rounds were close that Mayweather just edged. Cotto also did better than most expected. People on both sides are just going overboard as usual. Mayweather was a clear winner.

Scored it like 7-5. Cotto took most of the middle rds to me. Body shots did Floyd in big time, he was hurt like hell getting them shots. They slowed him down big time. 10-2 and 9-3 is absurb. Fight was even to me, Floyd being Floyd but Cotto landing the bigger, better shots, especially to the body. Cotto gassed around the 10th rd, so that gave Floyd the edge remainder of the fight.

No Cotto lost because he's not as good of a fighter, period. Secondly it was a competitive fight, but not a close fight, Cotto made it competitive in some rounds but the fact remains he may have 3 to 4 rounds tops.

Was not close, but Cotto handled Floyd with great effort and made him lose his cool and control. The way I see it, cotto and his trainer stole the spotlight tonight even though losing the fight.
