Every topboxer should be tested year round... and if coming back from "retirement" they should at least be tested half a year before competing again.

Most sports do this already, boxing is just centuries behind.

Well considering it was a urine sample, wasn’t Hopkins submitting to that type of testing already?

Hopkins is only in mega fights. All a guy has to do is ask for it. This isn't that hard to comprehend.

Not everybody gets caught, actually most don't and certainly not by urine samples.
I think catching Lamont was a fluke.

I think you didn't understand what I meant with "fluke".

I think it's a fluke they caught him juicing with that method of testing.

Every year sporters are caught with new and improved detection methods, but even more slip though.
The biggest proof of this is the retested samples that were negative in the 1st test and ended up positive after a better retest.
Also the persons caught after the fact due to products found in their posession or connection to a doping lab. While they never tested positive before while tested troughout the year and then they confess about having used their entire careers.

The current method used in boxing is laughable compared to sports like cycling, and most of them even beat the tests.
