This Board should have just kept quite as their incompetence has brought all this upon themselves & they should have turned a blind eye & had a yap behind the scenes too reach a non embarrassing comprimise/commitement/understanding for future events but these amatures are attempting to control a professional world & now the dice have been cast.

I hope, at the very least, this the start of a big shake up of British boxing. The BBBoC can only lose in this situation. And frankly most people don't care, because they are a bunch of fucking weasels.

Losing the board is one thing, having one that is a promoters puppet is worse. They are not perfect. But name a better one .

Absolutely, he's watching boxnation subs go up by the minute now and he has better profile now than any time since starting boxnation. The adage 'there's such thing as bad publicity' had never rang truer.

Precisely. The whole undercard can fight wherever they want. Heck even on a service station like South Mimms ffs. BBBoC have now wrote a check with their mouth that they cannot cash. Egg on their face is imminent and boxing in the headlines for its shambolic regulatory bodies. What we need is a global body that is transparent and fair. Each country has its own body and that spells for disaster and by all rights the BBBoC have to show LBF as much respect as they would any other. LBF actually has a right to sue for libel if BBBoC tarnished their name and repuation.

End of the day the whole process was a shambles, the punishment unclear and a boxer fined and without work. The whole process has been a joke. If you drink drive they ban you for a year (min) and you know where you stand. If a court said we will take your license off you indefinitely whilst we decide then a solicitor would have ground to turn the punishment over as its unclear. A punishment must be stated clearly and understood, indefinitely is a cop out and the board wanted to make a statement of intent whn really they were kicking a man whilst he was down.

The way around this from now on is to take licenses off boxers whilst in trouble with the law, that is the only time indefinitely can be used. Once a punishment is handed by the law (whom are above all bodies) then the board should take things from there and hand out what they feel is acceptable, imo 6 months is plenty enough should they have punished.

Promoters knocking Chisora for this yet claim Tyson as great etc, this is the same guy that did bird for rape, whether you believe the charge or not he is technically a rapist. Yet that shit don't even get mentioned now and Chisora is a hate figure yet threw no punches ffs.

WBC are the biggest hypocrites though, they fine Chisora yet Mayweather keeps hos belt whilst he does time. I hope Jose chokes on a chicken wing the silly fat bastard

The media will back the board mostly I feel which is stupid seeing how little they actually know about them and what they do/don't do.

the statement sounds desperate....it sounds like they have no avenue to legally oppose this, so they are doing the most desperate back-to-the-wall things they can...threaten to sack any board members who as much as look at it. that looks like they are about to lose face badly here.

saying that...i dont expect any of this to come to pass at all...i think the board will find some way to give licenses to both haye and chisora before the fight date.

but the writings on the wall now...some situation similar in the future will cause the same reaction from a promoter...and then another....and then things will get interesting

I blame the Board for this. It was a Gobshite move to withdraw the license. They should have just banned him for 6 months, a year, permanently. They shouldn't just take the license away and say 'we'll see how we feel in the future'. Then they fuck about with the hearing and put the appeal back. Stupid move. I'm half glad the fight is going to happen under another governing body. It might make the BBBoC wake up a bit
BBBoC will be taking to the court of human rights, and they will be mugged off.

Worst thing board did was release a public statement. They should of called for a meeting and sorted things out. Instead they have fought fire with fire and made things worse. I genuinely believe they will end up looking like powerless egotists with no clout within a month.

Smith needs sacking imho, nothing done about Cox v Sai or Parris cards etc. He toes the line he feels he has to rather than what needs doing. We need a strong figure and a fair one, not a yes man who panders to sky and the highest paying promoter as is often the case.

Besides who are the BBBoC and its board? I mean doing a disciplinary process with dozens of members huddled behind a laptop, what a bunch of chancers, have they not heard of hdmi cables or smart tvs and tablets. Who the fuck gathers dozens of people around a 19"laptop screen and expects to be perceived as a respectable outfit

Frank mugged the board off when he started his career - he never forgets the old games.
