lol, if this fight happens I bet Jeff Mayweather will be saying Pacquiao beat Mayweather's leftovers. Bob Arum will be loving this. Of all people, Floyd, his family and fans creating demand and hype for a Pacquiao-Cotto rematch. Far-cry from when he tried to make it earlier this year. If only he can convince Pacquiao to fight at JMW again, it's another sure PPV success to further Manny's incredible run at the box office.

Anyhow, I agree it would be a different fight, but not because of weight, though obviously it should help Cotto weighing-in 10lbs heavier, however unfair of an advantage that is. Cotto has undoubtedly learned from his losses, had two great trainers since the first fight, and has shown good boxing form and improved defence at 154. Still, Pacquiao's speed is likely to offset all of that, and with a few lightning punches it would be repeat and all over. I think Cotto can last the distance, and has a chance to win by decision with a good gameplan and fights a perfect fight. However he's the one with something to prove, not Pacquiao as people are making out

simulating? you guys are the one simulating different results thinking cotto would do better just because he is heavier and... slower (with more mileage and wars).

pacquiao can do that to cotto since pac has the power and those angles to hit cotto right where he doesn't expect to be hit. and bigger gloves? of course a naturally smaller man that is a puncher like pacquiao would of course have problem with a bigger gloves. pac is smaller than both cotto and mayweather. he still has not weighted above 148 during fight night while floyd has weighed 151 during weigh-in.

that version of pac who fought cotto is a beast. even the older version that fought a 165 pounds margarito cracked margo's eyesocket. and pacquiao did not KO cotto, he punished him with accurate punches and that made cotto's will to fight disappear.

Not when Pacquiao is calling the shots. They used 8oz gloves for Margarito, though that was in Texas. Considering Floyd talked about fighting with 8oz gloves for Cotto suggests it's possible in Nevada aswell, and Arum knows how to pull some strings. Just funny people wanting Cotto to have every advantage they can think of vs Pac. When DLH did it to Floyd they called him a *****..

It's total BS. Cotto was a 147 pounder when Pacquiao fought him. He had never fought above that weight, while Pacquaio was coming up to it from a fight against Hatton at 140. Somebody needs to study up on the recent history of boxing.

To be honest Pac last good fight was Cotto. Clottey, Margo, Mosley, Marquez were all lack luster and even loss to Marquez too many boxing fans.
