canelo will definitely be on the undercard

If the numbers change they will be slightly higher, they will not be lower. There will not be much change though.

This fight did big numbers in foreign distribution as well. Foreign distribution was sold like network tv shows and it was a big number as well.

FLoyd v marquez doesn't beat pac v marquez 3, but at the time beated pac's two previous ppv fights with the same man.

It's clear who the cash cow of boxing is, not only is floyd earning more per fight, he generating more money from common opponents, I see where he coming from now.

Yeah it's clear Mayweather is the biggest draw in boxing. Whether u hate him or not, u got to give the man credit! Pac is #2

The 1.5 million figure for Mayweather-Cotto will grow once all of the numbers are accounted for, according to Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, who promoted the fight with Mayweather Promotions.

"The 1.5 million number is actual reported numbers," Schaefer told ESPN.com. "The final number will definitely be bigger than what it is now."

Mayweather earns around 20mil more then Pac on each fight. And he would probably earn 20mil more then Pac if they fight.
You are probably right. Floyd takes his risk on downside i.e. if the fight doesn't sell or is canceled. If the fight does $150M, the distributors take half which leaves $75M plus let's say a live gate of $20M, then it is 55M for Floyd and 40M for Manny (before fees) which is about a 60-40 split. 55/95 = 58%. So it really isn't that bad. The problem is that suppose the fight exceeds those numbers (which I believe there is a good possibility), then Floyd keeps all the upside and the numbers are skewed even more in his favor. For example, lets say the total revenue to be split between fighters is $110M, then it becomes a 64-36 (less fees) split (70/110 = 64%). I think 55-45 in favor of Floyd is the more fair offer, but now that I've done the numbers I don't think his offer is that outrageous.

i thought it was 2M from schaefer? honestly, with cotto, canelo and mosley, i'm not surprised. pac-jmm3 did almost the same numbers with bradley as the undercard.

Are you seeing the logic here? You're working under the logical fallacy that past purses is what determines the split. It's not...if Pac is responsible for let's say 48% of that potential pile of money than he is right to say, I want 48% of that pile. If that pile ends up being 50mil more, for example, then that's shit is just highway robbery if Pac agreed to Floyd's flat fee. Simple logic here, and how it gets lost among you Floyd apologists is beyond me. And Floyd fucking knows this too...and I'm starting to believe he really is ducking Pac by insisting on his ridiculous offer.
How did you come up with those figures? As De La Hoya and Mayweather split a prize pot of $77 million even though the PPV brought in $137 million.

so why floyd didn't jump at the chance when arum offered him $50M under the same terms that he offered pac? pac and arum would share only $27M when you use the oscar-floyd revenue figure.
