2.5m * $70 = $175m. And that's giving you a very generous avg per buy, everyone buys HD these days.
2.5m buys is only one scenario, it's not an end-all assumption. Everyone buys HD? Wouldn't say so, if you average the other fight revenues and buys, you'll get that the average buy price is closer to the normal PPV rather than HD

You have Manny vs Marquez at 1.4 mil buys and Manny vs Mosley at 1.3 buys tell bob to open the books up. The part about investing is correct I have been saying that part for the longest

Right, and that's why no fixed fee will work.

For HD, I'd be curious if you could provide any stats for the past year or so. The number is only going up, pretty fast.

And hey, since 2007 figures so strong in your case (whatever it is), you realize this fight would do over 4m buys? I mean, just add the collective drawing power of the 2 prior to the bout. I can help you along if needed.

Its real simple Schafer offered to open the damn books there is a reason bob wont do it. Which makes the OP kind of irrelevant

I used 2007 figures because it was the most relevant, from when they first became well known to the mainstream. You can use 2009 figures, 2011 figures, hell you can use 1960's figures it doesn't matter, the point is to streamline the money values.

And 4m buys??? are you serious? Ever consider they share many of the same buyers? edit: hi shaefer

It's not like I know Bob personally, we have what we have. If you want, look at the gates only and it still reflects similarly.

you answer is correct but you used the wrong inflation rate, @ 3% is to high. But seriously why would you waste your time . . . lol. Tards do not understand math or logic let alone business or economics. A for effort, Yet C for impact!

gates and PPV buys are way different you understand this right? There is a reason Bob wont release Manny's last two PPV numbers.

I give you props for effort though

Great job and Arum needs to agree to open up the books so that they can close this deal with facts and give us the fight that we want. Don't think Arum will be willing to do that bc truth will come out that Manny is getting robbed.

Of course, the PPV model gives a much more accurate perspective, but you guys seem more than willing to discard some of the points that are well within range

Another thing though, I don't see why Bob would report 700k for Clottey if he wasn't willing to report a good number for Pac-Marquez III

I have no idea how much it would do, neither do you, I just showed you what simple minded analysis can produce, no offense. I mean, how can you dispute the fact that this is a much bigger deal than a fight between hasbeen (not even top 20 p4p?) and a guy who had never hit 400k buys?

OK, lets say they do 3m, unrealistic? That's a lot of money to be leaving at the table for the guy whose guarantee is based on 2.5m (and not even in good faith).

yeah, i figured as much but the real rate of inflation is a lot lower over that time frame FYI. I havent really been tracking it for a long time but my guess would be in the 1-2%range even that could be high given the economic downturn . . . you got me wondering now I gotta check that out

I mean not having Manny's last 2 PPV buys when you are assessing this small amount of fights is a big deal. Would you invest in a company if you didnt know what they had done in the last 2 years? Pretty sure Bob decided to stop releasing numbers for the same reason schafer wants them released they are negotiating and Bob realized he would have to budge off 50/50
