The pickings are slim which is why every fight he makes that is not Mayweather, his postion at the negociation table gets weaker for a Mayweather fight.
Pac vs Ortiz would sell well if promoted right, if they want to maintain PPV numbers. |

Assuming all GBP fighters are off the table. Cotto is still a free agent so they might try to make that fight. If not, next up would be Peterson. Expect a lot of crying by Bob saying the test was wrong and that Peterson didn't do anything wrong.

GBP has been kept in the loop by Mayweather, they've been making a lot of money with him and this would harm that relationship for pretty short term gain. I think GBP tells Pac they're with Mayweather on this.

We all know that it will be JMM. Cotto is out because they won't go down to 147 (and he shouldn't have to), and Pac won't go up. Berto is an option but that fight stinks and can't be sold as well as a Marquez fight. Outside chances are Rios and Jones, but I think Arum is more likely to cash out Rios in this regard... however, if Jones wins vs. Bailey for the IBF title I believe, then his chances improve.

For reference, The Ring rankings for WW are as follows;
1. Pac 2. FMJ 3. Ortiz 4. Berto 5. Brook For JrWW, it's: 1. Bradley 2. Peterson 3. Khan 4. Garcia 5. Judah (The more I look at the above, the more Bradley becomes a decent choice as an opponent) None of those are remotely close to Pac's or FMJ's level, so I think either than FMJ, he should retire. |

Clearly JMM if they can't get Cotto to come down in weight. I can't see Arum putting Rios in with Manny after being gifted a decision like that. How would it look with Rios gifted a clear loss and Manny gifted a controversial split decision over JMM? Battle of the gifted fighters?
