Default Terry Norris vs Rose, J.C. Vasquez and John david jackson.....

in the early ninetees, these were norris biggest challenges and his co titelists. while norris was regarded as the real champ, none of the fights materialized.

so how would he have done vs the ibf, wba and wbo titlists of his time???

here is my call:

vs Rosi

no contest. its rosi vs curry all over again.......only worse. rosi gets his ass handed to him. norris puts him down about six times before the fight is stopped in round 8.

vs vasquez

vasquez was different. strong as a bull and hard hitting. and a southpaw. norris outboxes him, but gets dumped along the way to a ud.

vs jackson

jackson had the best boxing talent of the three opponents, a real slick defensive stylist with solid power.

norris struggles but outworks jackson to win a close ud.

Rosi-Would be areplay of when Norris fought Jacouet.
Vasquez-Norris dominates early only for Vasquez to comeback and score a tko in round 11.
JD Jackson-Has all the speed and skills in the world but a bad chin.Norris in 7 rounds.

Rosi was a cutie he could give anyone hell on his day, that said, I think Norris would just be too fast and wins a fairly easy decision 8-4.

Vazquez's punch would be a threat, but Norris again would have too much much movement and speed. Norris again on a easy decision 8-4

John David Jackson would not have the experience to handle early 90s Norris, he would be game, he would be on his feet out the end, but he too would be easily outpointed 8-4/9-3.

the reason i think that norris was that rosi could be caught coming in with the left hook......one of norris best punches.

and norris in his prime was better than the curry rosi faced. faster and more powerfull. i just cant see him giving norris any trouble outside of cutting him with a headbutt.

as for norris vs vasquez, sure, vasquez has a punchers chance. but norris could put on a clinic if the mood took him. and that would be the most likely thing to happen.

Norris avoided Vasquez like the plague. After what Troy Waters did to him I can understand. It would only be a matter of time in that one.

Let me post before someone, I'll say no names, shows up with Norris' significant part in unsaid poster's mouth.

Norris is the first person that I've seen too really legitimize the division. I don't mean that no good fighters fought here before Norris. What I mean that Norris was not big enough to succeed at 160, but was too much for anyone at 147. If anyone has ever made a claim to being a 154 lber, and nothing else, it is Norris.

I agree with with bumdujour except for the part about Norris getting dumped by JCV.
