Steve Cunningham going to HW...

I know hes a American fighter, but he fights in Europe mostly..

Thoughts about this move? Will Sauerland promote a HW USS?

I wish him well...but I don't think he has the chin for heavyweight.

He's a free agent now. I wonder who will sign him

Good luck with that. Boxers that have started their downslides with less than stellar chins usually have great success moving up in weight.

In all fairness to him, he is probably having some trouble or does not want to cut weight anymore. Plus fighting some hand picked opponents at heavyweight will earn him some more money at this stage of his career.

Real similar to the route Mormeck took...

He's not with Sauerland anymore, apparently. He said he tried to get a cruiserweight title fight but nobody's interested (Tarver, Huck, Lebedev etc). He should hook up with Kathy Duva. I hope that Huck rematch happens eventually.

Cunningham probably matches up pretty well with most heavyweights sans Klitschko. His last fight with YPH shows he's still very quick.

Well at cruiser he's always the road fighter even for his own promoter, no one in the U.S. gives a rat's ass about the cruiserweight division, and there's far more money and interest at heavyweight.

USS should of stayed at CW, any half decent HW puncher will KO him the second he connects with his chin

It's a good move on his part. He could take a couple easy fights then cash out against an HBO caliber opponent like Seth Mitchell. He's at the end of his career, he should be looking for an exit with a money bump.

True, it was probably the last time I have seen Adamek in a really exciting fight.

So you want him to change his last name because a boat got sunk 33 years ago?

His nickname is not "USS Cunningham", it's "USS" based off his naval time and Cunningham is his last name.
