body?
They always whine when I hit them on the back of the head, usually don't have the room to land a clean uppercut |

I don't fight well like this either. Your best bet is to either circle out and keep them at range with straight punches, or buckling down and shoving them back while crouching to get your own punches off on the inside. Ideally, you want to prevent them from getting there in the first place, but you should also be prepared when they do and learn to reposition their body and bury your head and shoulders right back into them as you throw.

if his head is literally in your stomach, with his face looking at the canvas then he should be cautioned in the amatuers.
you might get warned for this but when he sticks his head down in your stomach just take your left hand or fore arm, push his head down and pivot out to that side. rule #1 of inside fighting, the man who is lower will have the advantage. when he gets low, get lower and dig into his ass hard. I'd always just push his head to the side with my right glove and pivot out to that side while popping some jabs into his face. maybe when he gets that low just lean forward putting your weight on to his head and back. while the ref may caution you for this he should also caution the guy about keeping his head up too. hope it helped. You might get cautioned for this but when he stays his go down in your abdomen just take your left-hand or front arm, force his go down and rotate out to that part...

Get yourself more sideways to them- angle your body, so you aren't giving him anything but your shoulder. That will give you room to lift his head with an uppercut.

If its legal you can use it to your advantage. if you choose not to move away.
Dont fall into the trap of being too upright. Cover well and Use angles. You always have leverage over his shoulders from that position and can see alot more than him, always push down it helps control his position and tire him out and his hands they should be on his face, you can easily impede their punching ability with subtle clinches and interference to their guard. when theyre not covering throw good low powerful hooks the ones usually trained for body but aim for his head and ribcage, power shots mostly and be very aggressive. A slight step at an angle at the right time can expose a lot of holes in him. Cover body well and act quick. Upper cuts through the middle are obvious but painful if you're affective if all done right they won't bother with that shit for long. Also don't hit the back of the head but don't be afraid to test the limitations of what is considered the back. Hit him when his coming in, if you're good at that use footwork then you can make a match of it if he is persistent Last edited by thejokerswild; 05-22-2012 at 12:24 PM. |

3 things you can do:
1) Do the Klitschko. Lean on his back. It will tire him out fast. 2) Take a step back while dipping by bending both knees at the same time and load the back foot. Pivot the back foot and send an uppercut into his now dangling head. You create punching room by stepping back. You load the punch by putting weight on the back foot. You get into punching height by dipping. Anything he throws back will be aimed at where your head was a moment ago and fly overhead. So, don't come back up immediately. 3) Pivot either arm downwards and push his head away to the side. Step in the other direction. Punch at will. For instance, take your left arm and pivot it at the elbow like your forearm is going from 12 o'clock down to 6 o'clock. Push his head to your left and step to your right. Let go a fierce right hand to the side of his body followed by a vicious left uppercut to his head. |

How did he get there in the first place? Probably does more or less the same thing every time, I'd bet, and you paid attention to what it is, you can probably find a way to stop him before he gets that close.
