How could anyone pick a George Foreman over Mike Tyson in 1991? It would be a one sided contest.

Styles make fights.. Foreman beats Frazier.. and Tyson isn't the machine Frazier is.. so clearly he loses even to old Foreman

Foreman's calculated matchmaking worked...that's the only reason I can think of to explain it. That's saying something because the decision backfired against Morrison and Stewart and some people still buy that old George would beat Tyson.

Look at the fight Foreman gave Holyfield and the fight Holyfield gave Tyson. I think Tyson wins BUT you never know in boxing.

So how do you explain Foreman getting pummeled and easily outboxed by glass jaw slugger Tommy Morrison?

Or getting his faced kicked in by Alex Stewart for 10 rounds, a man Tyson iced in 1 round?

I never understood it either. I think Tyson would've picked him apart and stopped him, defenseless on the ropes. Too much speed, too much power.

Foreman did to Holyfield once in what Tyson failed to do twice, go the distance with Holyfield. Also, Foreman handled Smokin' Bert Cooper like a rag-doll. He had very similar build to Tyson and same age. TKO for George in 2, same as Frazier. The Cooney and Adlison Rodrigues ko's were also in 2 for George. But, in this instance I will give Tyson the benefit of the doubt and say he get's taken out in round 4.

It's mainly because a 42 year version of George Foreman was competitive with a prime Evander Holyfield.

Stewart, Morrison, Moorer - all guys with dodgy chins

Holyfield, a former cruiserweight, (i wouldnt be surprised if Foreman thought Holy would be a soft touch)

Then another small heavyweight in Tyson

Why didnt Foreman call out the bigger guys like Bowe, LL, Holmes, Ruddock, Bruno etc
