I think this will be a great fight. Froch brings it all night. I think Butes superior boxing skills get him home. Skills pay the bills. He also has a great south paw left hook to body which is hard to defend against just ask Anrade miranda and To a lesser extent Bika. I think Froch needs KO to win.

I dont mind Bute, but I think Froch gets him into his comfort zone and stops him.

That was the excuse given by the ref and the canadian officals... It was an all out rort though.

Bute, Froch make weight

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]Duo greeted by mass of fans at the official weigh-in for IBF Title clash - Carl Froch and Lucian Bute weighed-in for their IBF super middleweight World title fight in front of the Capital FM Arena live on Sky Sports News.

The pair will clash for the belt at midnight in the Arena tomorrow night, and in blazing sunshine in front of a throng of Froch and Bute fans, both made the weight for the highly anticipated clash.

Undefeated champion Bute tipped the scales at 11st 13lb 12oz after hometown hero Froch came in at 11st 13lb 5oz. Both men were well supported in the shadow of the venue for the fight, which has finally arrived for both men.

“I’m buzzing now, that was a great reception and I want to thank the fans for turning out in force,” said Froch. “It’s a huge night for me, the biggest in my career – back in front of my people with this guy thinking he can come here and beat me – that’s just not happening.

“I’m on the edge of super stardom here – the chance to become a three-time World champion in Nottingham. I cannot let that go and I will pour every ounce of energy into taking that belt off him..”
The first bell for tomorrow night’s action is at 6.30pm, with Froch and Bute fighting at midnight.

Less than 100 tickets remain for the fight – they will be available to purchase at the Capital FM Arena Box Office tomorrow.

Official weights:

LUCIAN BUTE (11st 13lb 12oz) v CARL FROCH (11st 13lb 5oz)

CARL FRAMPTON (8st 9lb 8oz) v RAUL HIRALES (8st 9lb 7oz)

PIER-OLIVER COTE (10st 2lb 4oz) v MARK LLOYD (10st 3lb 9oz)

ERICK OCHIENG (10st 12lb 9oz) v AA LOWE (10st 12lb 8oz)

JOHN RYDER (11st 6lb 4oz) v LUKE ROBINSON (11st 8lb 7oz)

RYAN ASTON (11st 7lb 14oz) v PAUL SAMUELS (11st 4lb 1oz)

ADNAN AMAR (11st 4lb 3oz) v TERRY CARRUTHERS (11st 3lb 6oz)

Carl Froch tells fans to start the party early at Friday’s weigh-in

Carl Froch believes he can get an early advantage over Lucian Bute at tomorrow’s public weigh-in at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, live on Sky Sports News at 2.45pm. Froch and Bute will take to the scales ahead of Saturday nights IBF super middleweight World title clash, and The Cobra wants his fans to turn out in force just like they did when 3,000 of them cheered him on at the weigh-in for his last fight in Nottingham against Andre Dirrell three years ago.

“Bute is going to feel the full force of my fans tomorrow – there’s nothing like The Cobra’s army in full force,” said Froch. “It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day so I hope they come out in their thousands.

“When I weighed in for the Dirrell fight they definitely gave me an edge – he was intimidated by the huge numbers and then they started chanting for me. They created a real racket and they will tomorrow – and Lucian will get a little idea of what’s in store for him on Saturday night, but times by three.”

Extremely limited tickets for Froch’s IBF World super middleweight title challenge to Bute are on sale from the Capital FM Arena Nottingham website [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and on 08444 124624

Bring on Andre Ward v Chad Dawson and sometime after Ward v Froch II.

Ward to dominate super middle for some time

Listened on the radio in work lads and I can honestly say I have never been happier to get a prediction wrong , Froch's bouncebackability is incredible , great news for boxing because you can bet your arse Frochy won't be happy until he has rematched Kessler & Ward .
