The long count doesn't matter!!! He was up in 8 or 9 seconds. If the referee stayed there, Bute would have beaten the count.

It was the referee's fault, yes, but he was still on the mat for more than 10 seconds.. Could he have gotten up sooner if the ref have stayed and kept counting? Who knows, but it doesn't matter now.. He won the fight and even more convincingly in the rematch, via KO..

No he wasn't, count for yourself. And remember that the rule state that the boxer doesn't have to be able to defend himself, he just has to get up.

He falls at 0:59 and is totally up by 1:09, he is clearly not able to defend himself, but it doesn't matter because the fight is over. If you give a second of reaction to the referee to start the count, and consider that the fight should have been over the second he leaves the canvas, then it's certainly not more than 10 seconds.

EDIT: The referee was indeed suspicious for stopping the count, but with a competent person in charge of the bell and a referee who didn't give a long count, it would have been a less controversial win for Bute.

look Golovkin - Bute amateurs fight 10 years ago when Bute was only skin and bones without muscles like a fragile teenager amateur and look how good physical condition has Bute now .

So before post something think first . Bute is another boxer . In Mendy and Magee Bute chin was caught few times but no problem at all .

In your place I will be worried about Froch or Ward glass liver when facing Bute .

Bute took a lot of flush hits so I wouldn't call his chin glass.

Bute was KTFO by Golovkin and Andrade, Froch smashed him to a million pieces and stopped him before the halfway mark, so yes, it is pretty safe to say that Bute's jaw is fragile

Fragile is one thing glass is another, he kept getting rocked on that jaw and didn't drop. If he had a glass jaw he would have dropped on one of those flush shots.
