Where does Bute go? Where does Froch go?

Avenge the Kessler loss for Carl.

Kessler-Froch II makes a ton of sense. By the time that fight gets made, maybe the Cloud-Pascal winner or the Ward-Dawson winner is next in line depending on the outcome.


As for Bute, he's still a class operator. There's two things I'd recommend:

1)I wouldn't put him in with a puncher straight off, but put him in with a boxer so he can get his confidence back.

2)Don't put him in with too soft a touch because it'll show a lack of faith and damage his image more.

So, if I'm Interbox, I'd go for Andre Dirrell. I think he's the best style matchup for Bute out of the "name" contenders left.

After froch rematches and beats kessler... I would bet he moves up to face pascal who might be a belt holder by then.

I can also see an old close to 50 year old hopkins calling froch out. Its the kind of thing he does. Where people write him off and he chooses opponents who he thinks he could beat but the wider public see him getting blown away - kind of like the pavlik-hopkins fight.

Pavlik and cleverly are other names out there at 175. Then there are also options of domestic fights with young guns degale and groves. Could be passing of the torch for old froch in a few years

Froch: Whatever he wants. He's obviously now the #1 draw in the division. I would think Kessler. If he wins that, then Ward, of course.

I don't know about that one man, I think Dirrell matches up horribly with Bute. He won't put the heat on the way Andrade and Froch did and he can't take a punch like them, either. That's a bad fight for Andre.

Bute should hire a respected trainer like Mayweather Sr. in order to improve on his defense. I think his inexperience at this level showed. That is what happens usually when fighters fight low level opponents for a long time " they don't find out how good they are and what they need to improve on because they look so good and their managers and promoters feed into the mental perception the fighter has of himself as that of someone who is invincible".

Well I think for him maybe Ward is still on the cards. although much less attractive. He has been badly beaten by Froch but lets not forget that whilst a much less ksilled boxers he is also heavier handed and more willing to mix it up, Ward tends to box and whilst very awkward maybe Bute could be competitive.

Move to light heavy? Bute is very tall for the division and has boxed LH before, maybe a move up in weight could help his punch resistance, it has helped Khan and countless others.

Other then those two I would say just retire, he has made a lot of money and I dont think the wider boxing world is very interested in him building back up in Canada after that loss.


Froch?:

Very hard this. Ward? Anyone want to see this again? Not me.

Kessler rematch is a good option, but feels to me somewhat like its a step back not forwards.

Move the light heavy? Froch pretty much lives at his weight so i think his gain would be less then others fighters in moving up but maybe Dawson? Cloud? Cleverly? [unlikely as a protected FW fighter]

If you saw my tread on why Froch would win, then It says that Froch takes the remach in Canada and loose.
