Deadlifts are GREAT. Builds overall power. It also can increase hormone levels.

I'm not sure how much those blue-plates are but you would be surprised how much people can dead-lift....especially those that are genetically gifted for it. Harder without straps though.

what i was thinking too.

lol the kiddie bars, or the ones the girls used were 30 pounds, i believe how it's always been in the weightrooms i been in.

Deadlift is great. I run track so I use the straight leg variant to target hamstrings. I feel more power in my sprints because of it. There's nothing wrong with boxers strength training with heavy weight as long as the strength is converted to power and you can avoid muscle gain.

7 foot Olympic bars are 30 lbs. There are 45 lbs ones, but those are mostly for power lifting much larger weight. Shit, there are some 75 lbs. ones but the extra weight is mostly to support greater weight.
