Lewis is my favorite boxer, but the Wladimir Situation is probably more approiate

Lennox was already a proven champion both times that he got drugged and robbed so it was more a case of mega upset over a proven champion.

THEN THE PROVEN CHAMPION coming back to re claim his throne.

Bute's case is much more similar to Wlad's

in that neither have proven themselves

and the first time they stepped up in competition

they got knocked the **** out

and btw

I'm being VERY VERY VERY VERY GENEROUS

to klitschko fans

calling 'corrie sanders' a step up in competition

I feel a rematch is pointless at this point in time, it would have the same exact outcome. And besides that their contract in void anyway, since Froch stopped him before the 6th.

Obviously I prefer Froch.

Bute came to England to prove a point, he had the class to clap Froch during the introduction, appluad the crowd after the fight and not offer any excuses in the aftermath.

That made me a fan. Can't buy class.

No it's not, since the outcome didn't matter in the contract. The thing with the 6 round Was a 2 fights deal that was never signed considering Showtime refusal. According to that contract the first fight would have been in Montreal.

i dont want to see Bute go the AA route and fight no bodies getting a KO until he has a chance for a pay day.

But I just think he should aviod Froch for a bit while still facing at least a B level fighter or better (Dirrell, Ward, Kessler etc.)

Abraham would be a great confidence booster for Bute.

I've always said that Kessler would beat him, does anyone agree now?

No , my point is Lennox is stronger cause it took a wonder punch to stop him and he always knew he could come back.

Froch does not throw one punch KOs.

I know, but that is not how boxing works.

The Kessler who beat Froch was fighting for EVERYTHING - his career, his reputation.

A bit like the Froch who beat AA and to a lesser extent the Froch who beat Bute.

Now Bute has lost (as did Kessler & Froch) .. what can he show us? Something I am sure but going after Froch again is the wrong move for me.

I agree with both points.
But didn't many Bute fans ridicule Froch fans bigging up his win over Abraham?
Double standards on the way.
