He's asking a reasonable question.

The thread-starter has put up an article - which mentions a proposed 50-50 split - that's supposed to prove Mayweather was serious about a fight. But despite Mayweather "wanting the fight", his promoter denies there ever being a 50-50 split - despite it existing right there in the contract (according to Iole).

- Floyd signed, including the 10 million pound weight cheat penalty Pac wanted
- Floyd signed and put in his steroid cheat clause
- Sent it back
- Top Rank refused (Primarily Bob Arum)
- No fight

If Schaefer is hellbent in denying the 50/50 split stipulated in the contract as source of Iole's article, then we can conclude that the contract Iole's have isn't the contract Schaefer sent to Arum.

Or Schaefer is just another lying mofo.

Everyone knows that Mayweather was the one putting roadblocks. First, it was the drug testing then came purse split. What is next? What do you think? I think it will come down to bigger gloves.

A contract sent on Dec. 11, 2009, by Golden Boy Promotions on behalf of Mayweather to Top Rank on behalf of Pacquiao proposed a 50-50 financial split between the sides for a fight that would have been held March 13, 2010

Richard Schaefer, the chief executive officer of Golden Boy Promotions, said he did not recall sending a contract offering a 50-50 split

However, in a contract obtained by Yahoo! Sports, paragraph 11 under the section entitled Net Profits reads: "Net Profits shall be allocated 50/50 between GBP and TR." The contract goes on to say that net profits would include a split of "all gross revenues."
In sub-paragraph 11 (a), entitled HBO PPV Fight Night Advance, it reads, "Not withstanding the foregoing, the HBO PPV fight night advance shall be paid 50% directly to GBP and 50% directly to TR."

The eight-page agreement is so detailed that it indicates which of the two fighters would step onto the scale first at the weigh-in (Pacquiao), who would walk to the ring first (Pacquiao), who would be introduced first (Mayweather) and who had first choice of the locker room (Mayweather). this is gay

Why did they change the split when an agreement was reached on blood testing

If they were going by the conditions reached back then, Arum wouldn't have been proposing building a bull**** stadium.

Right? As if this brings anything new that MOST who are paying attention already didn't know.
