For all of his limitations, Chavez Jr is a fantastic body puncher. You'll rarely see him throw a combination without including a rip downstairs.

Andre Ward > Lucian Bute in terms of body punching, I think Froch would agree.

That body punch RJJ gave to Virgil Hill was bad and Margaritos body shot to Citron was real nice

same goes for the use of the uppercut for fighters who don't normally fight on the inside

Boxer's and trainers just feel its too risky to use either punch as leaves you normally open to big counters...

This is why I rate Marquez highly as he does these things beautyfully.

Rigondeaux, Bute and Cotto come to mind, although Cotto isn't as dedicated to his body attack as he was in his 140lb days (although he improved as a fighter on moving to 147).

Rigo has the best single shot; his left-hook to the body is evil. Bute has shown some nice variety in his work downstairs.

Today it's Canelo, Chavez Jr, and he doesn't fight anymore but Vassiliy Jirov was a beast, he'd just destroy you to the body.
