Default Brian Rose vs. Kris Carslaw RBR

Just finished up:

Rick Godding vs. James Finn, 8 rounds @ welterweight

Godding won via pistol-whipping TKO in the 6th.

IB's RBR disclaimer:

DO NOT ASK FOR LINKS! Do not hint for them. Do not ask "what channel?". Do not make any post that could be interpreted as insinuating a link request, even if it sounds innocent (ie stuff like "Gee, I don't have a way to watch this" or "if only this was televised where I live...")

All that stuff will a) get you banned and b) clutter up my thread with quickly deleted posts. The folks at ESB do not want to get sued and therefore have adopted a VERY strict policy of zero-tolerance on stream requests to cover their butts. The moderators DO enforce this policy, and they patrol my RBR threads like sharks so DON'T think they won't catch you.

Oh, and...

If you're dumb enough to discuss streams in any way (again, even seemingly innocent discussion such as asking for a "legal" one) and they see your post and delete it/ban you (it WILL happen, believe me) - DO NOT HARASS ME VIA PM FOR "SNITCHING" YOU OUT. That has nothing to do with me. The moderators patrol the threads, and see the offending posts for themselves without anybody having to snitch. Don't blame me that you did something against the site's rules and got caught/banned. I personally don't give a flying **** what anyone does and am not here to 'snitch' and have neither the time nor motive to get involved with crap like that while doing my RBR reports. The moderators are doing what they're supposed to be doing and the issue is between you and them if you are breaking rules. Just please don't clutter up my threads with posts that are going to get deleted and muck up each page. It's unseemly and disrupts everyone else's enjoyment.

Thank you.

PS. My only other rule in these threads is that, as a matter of courtesy, you refrain from posting spoilers if you are aware of undercard results that most people are going to see televised on delay. Also, if there are two events going on at once keep all discussion of the other card in its own thread, and don't cross-contaminate with spoilers between the two. Thanks.

Both start jabbing. Carslaw doing the "bow and arrow" thing Taylor used to do. Both land a few power shots and jabs. Rose has the much stronger jab. Rose is waiting while Carslaw is being herky jerky. Good counter right from Rose, then blocks a combination.
10-9 Rose.

Round 1

Carslaw is coming forward, pawing his jab skyward, catching Rose's jabs and single-serving rights on a vertical left forearm when not jabbing. Carslaw is forcing his way in slowly but surely, getting Rose to the ropes and teeing off with hooks to the body. Rose is sliding back and waiting, throwing very intermittent counter jabs and rights. Watt has given the round to Rose on quality, but there's been very little quantity tbh.

10-9 Carslaw

Round 2

Carslaw hops in place and slips the Rose jab with some wiggles off to either side. Left jabs to the body and looping rights by Carslaw working his way in and threading under Rose's jab and narrowly past his rights. Carslaw lands a quick right to the body and then drifts backward as Rose misses some jabs to the head. Carslaw hops around and then moves in to clinch, Rose having caught him at the tip end of a stiff jab. Carslaw jabs the body, Rose jabs him back in the face.

20-18 Carslaw

Rose picks up everything Carslaw throughs. Now backs him up. Sze diffrence shows. Both land counters, Carslaw the better one. Right hand from Carslaw ! Two counter rights from Rose. Carslaw lands to the body while Rose is missing. Carslaw jumps in but lands nothing. Rose with a jab.

Round 3

Carslaw is jabbing and hooking in from outside, leaning over. Rose is stretching his left jab out, aiming for the head as Carslaw drops it offline. Rights to the body by Rose. They move together and clash heads. Carslaw is cut!!! Very badly cut!! High on the middle of the scalp. They pause to examine it and decide to let it go, but it's positively gushing. Time in, and Rose immediately blasts Carslaw with a hard right to the forehead as he's leaning over by the ropes. Rose is taking control, jabbing Carslaw back as blood pours down between and into the challenger's eyes.

10-9 Rose

29-28 Carslaw

Both try to establish the jab. Rose comes forward and lands some. Carslaw landing shots ! Uppercuts ! Carslawy is pushing and holing Rose on the ropes. Right hand counter from Rose. Head clash. The ref takes a look. A bad one it seems. The doctor lets it go on. Blood is pouring ! Carslaw is turning it up but he is getting careless. Carslaw ducking and dodging. Now itīs Rose landing.

Round 4

Rose is bending forward into the smaller man while marching him down, leaning on him with both arms bearing his whole body weight. Carslaw tries to reach up and get a few smacks in around the gloves. BIG LEFT HOOK BY ROSE, knocked Carslaw's head clear around. Carslaw backs up and tosses high flurries. Single right hand rocket to the guard by Carslaw, diving. Rose tiptoes around and blocks, then throws some hooks and uppercuts in step. Carslaw misses a lunging high right hand, falling forward and then quickly leaning out of the pocket before Rose can think to counter. Carslaw is diving in with right hands over the top and getting stopped in his tracks by straighter ones coming down from Rose. A few nice left hooks by the champion from outside.

10-9 Rose

38-38
