Arum said that “if Manny wants a rematch then that’s what we’ll do. We have the right to affect a rematch. It's going to be his call.” However made it clear that while Pacquiao will be the draw “you have to compensate for the extra money that Bradley will get. In others words Manny will get far more money than Bradley but he’ll have to absorb the extra money we pay Bradley.” SO WAS IT ALL ALONG BOB???? MANNY GETS A LOWER PURSE NEXT TIME AROUND AND YOU POCKET IT??? [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] |

That's exactly how the whole fight went, I must have good eyesight or something because I could see all those Pac punches just missing that the crowd were going wild for. Bradley won this fight no problem, maybe if the HBO commentators weren't such boring fucks who don't pay attention in fights then maybe the people watching would be more alert and see the fight for how it actually is.
There was no controversy in this fight, it just shows the power of biased commentators who are terrible at their job influencing opinion. When Lady Gaga is watching the fight do you think the 'expert' commentators and the crowd going wild over missed punches influence how she is judging a fight? Anybody who says this fight hurts boxing don't know what the hell they're talking about and don't deserve to be boxing fans. This fight was a step in the right direction, the correct decision being made even though it's not the popular choice for the money man. |

Seriously stop crying over this shit. Bob did what was intended. Manny didn't even care about what happened. Hell Manny was probably in on it. Jinky told him to bet on Bradley and lose the fight to make up for his gambling debt and taxes. Follow your god's example and turn the other cheek.

good post, I remember watching round 1 at the bar and thinking Bradley actually did fine, but I must admit the HBO commentators sucked me in.

I agree, i scored Round 1 for Bradley, but it was like the HBO commentators had given the fight to Pac before it started. Lampley's comment of 3 punches in the last 30 seconds (im paraphrasing) won Pac the round. It was like they were going to give him round after round, they just needed to wait til the end of each round to see what reason they had to give it to him. I did like Max's comment about "i'm not sure those punches won him the round". I think it was a close fight and while I think Manny probably won I don't think it was a huge outrage. My favorite part of the night was at the end when I thought Lampley was going to cry because Max said he wanted to watch the fight again without the sound. |
